In the heart of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, near the city of Seia, stands the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Exile. More than a single building, it is a complex of ten chapels built over two centuries, between 1650 and 1892, along the banks of the Alva River. Scattered yet connected, these chapels bear witness to the devotion and history that shaped the territory, keeping alive the bond between the people and the mountains.
